Gold was the colour that Michelle Vezie took home as a member of the winning GB Women's Eight at the U23 World Championships held last week in Racice, Czech Republic. The crew led from the start and held off a strong challenge from the US eight (US has won the last 2 world Champs). This is the first time a British Women's Eight has won a World Championship.
Further Molesey participation was from Mo Sbihi and James Foad in the Men's Pair who came 2nd in the B final and Ruth Walczak who came 5th in the Women's Coxless four.
Michelle has now headed off to Briesach to train with the Senior Women's eight for the World Championships.
