MORE MEDALS FOR MOLESEY!

Molesey athletes performed superbly at the World Championships which concluded today in Poznan, Poland.

Molesey's medal hunt started off on a golden note with Vicky Hansford winning Gold in the Adaptive Four by a clear margin.  This set the medal tone for our own Captain Andy Hodge claiming Silver in the Men's Pair.

Sunday saw the eights race.  Whilst no medals were recorded, the Molesey athletes flew the flag well in the finals.  Mel Wilson and Michelle Vezie came 5th in the Women's Eight ( a fantastic achievement in their first senior World Championships) and Tom Solesbury also came 5th in a very young British crew.  Both these results set the eights squads up for a very positive future in the lead up to London.   Congratulations to John West who coached the Men's Eight.

The summer of Molesey success keeps rolling on!!   Only one major international event remaining - The European Championships in 3 weeks time were Ruth Walczak and Jenny Farmer will be in the Women's Eight.
