Vets Break Record at Boston Marathon

E-mail Print PDF

Magnus, Karl, Andy and Telfyn competed in the Vet B 4- at the Boston Marathon on Sunday 20th September 2009.
They completed the 50km race including running over a lock with the boat in a time of 3 hours 30 minutes beating the old record of 4 hours 20 minutes by 50 minutes. Only the Elite 4- record is faster.

The four had to make 6 unscheduled stops including backing down the boat to free the rudder from weed in the last 15 km of the race. This had affected the of losing 4 minutes off our time.

We can't wait to have another go next year!

"We can't wait to have another go next year!" :X

Runner, I always knew that you & Telfyn were slightly unhinged, but thought that
Magnus & Karl were more sensible...

Great effort though guys and just think what could have been, if only Telfyn
could steer...
