Welcome to MBC Juniors!
The very successful Molesey Junior Programme is run by our Head Junior Coach, James Hyder. We welcome juniors starting in their third year (year 9) at secondary school (not before please) and guide them through a programme which will progress each athlete to their personal best. The programme is non-selective and a waiting list is maintained on a first come, first served basis.
The rowing training season runs parallel to the school schedule from September through July. We require any junior wishing to join the training squad to first complete a beginner course. Beginner courses are offered in the school breaks and the summer holidays. See the Learn To Row section of the website for course details. Everyone who completes a beginner course is welcome to join a training squad the following September (Year 9 and above only). The season schedule is published at the beginning of September and everyone who has completed a course is invited to a kick-off meeting where questions can be answered and instructions for memberships are explained.
Junior members using club equipment are restricted to boating when accompanied by an approved MBC coach.
