Henley Women's Regatta Win

Looking to follow on from their success at Women's Head of the River, Molesey entered a coxed and coxless four (composite with Nottingham) at Henley Women's this Summer, with a double backing them up.

The senior coxed four came up against a strong field of foreign and domestic crews and after an exciting run through to the final, got knocked out by University of London. UL took a length lead early on and Molesey valiantly kept attacking but just couldn't quite take that length back over the 1500m course.

The double of Emma Boyns and Hannah Foxley, had an exciting row against Henley RC winning by 4 lengths but then met their match against Tideway Scullers losing by 2 lengths in the quarter finals.

Our win of the regatta came from the elite coxless four of Lucy Primmer, Vicky Watts, Ruth Whyman and Katie Bartlett (Nottingham). With only a small field to race against, Molesey went straight to the semi finals, taking an easily verdict against Lea RC.

In their final, the crew was pitted against an American crew from University of Massachusetts. This also proved to be a simple race, with the composite crew winning by 5 lengths.
