I would be grateful if you would pass this note to your various rowing groups.
You will recall that essential works are required to the front of the club (see original notice attached) and it has been decided to split the contract for the works into two parcels as follows:
The structural repairs to the balcony and gable end which will be undertaken immediately.
The redecoration of the upper parts to be postponed until the summer.
In order to undertake the balcony repairs, scaffolding will be erected between boat bays 4 and 5 this Thursday 4th Jan at 8am. The works will commence on Monday 8th Jan at 8am. Note access to these boat bays will be maintained throughout!
We hope to keep any disturbance to a minimum but if you if you have any queries, please contact Chris Daley (cc'd),Ian Knight,Richard Steed, or me.
Many thanks and best wishes for the new year.

There have been two incidents recently where boats docked on the landing stage have had their mooring ropes interfered with in an attempt to move them out of the way.
The owners of the vessels have reported the incidents to the EA and the local police.
The EA has asked us to remind members that it is illegal to interfere with a vessels mooring ropes whether they feel the vessel is permitted to park there or not.
We do allow the islanders to load and unload on the landing stage but apart from that if you feel a vessel should not be there please report it to the EA on the following address firstname.lastname@example.org.
Please do not take things into your own hands
