📸Helen Taylor J18 4x with their silver medals

Helen Taylor reported: 'A host of strong performances from the Junior Squad in what was a tricky (and classic) Dorney crosswind day.

Special mention to the JM18 4x for picking up a silver medal. Not bad considering they haven't sculled since November.

The JM15 4x finished strong 4th in a highly competitive field of 61 crews. With 5 crews within 1.2s on the first leg, it looks like it's going to be fun racing over 1000m for NSR.

The JM16 4x had an unlucky day. After a great row posting the fastest time on the first leg, they unfortunately lost a gate and pin in the last 500m and paddled over the the line - still managing to finish a very respectable 9th (out of 51) overall. Plenty of speed and motivation to take into regatta season.

5 further crews finished in the top 12 with 12th for the JW15 4x (out of 71) and 10th ( out of 43) for the JW14 4x+ a big step in the right direction.

Both the JW15 and JW14 8x contained graduates of the Learn to Row course last summer with many racing at Dorney for the first time. A few crabs and broken blades but lots of enthusiasm for the racing ahead.

5) Heineken Roeivierkamp in Amsterdam where the women win 4 of 4!

'This makes MBC the first EVER foreign crew to take the Heineken'.
First ever Heineken Roeivierkamp medal won by a British Crew and from our women's squad!' Franz Imfeld
